알려지지 않은 목적지로부터

흐르는 물길을 지나

카네이션 들판을 건너

도시로, 빌딩숲으로 깊숙히 파고들어

마침내 어느 발 아래,

정확히는 그의 침대 발치에서 멈춰

그는 아주 작은 위화감을 느껴

꿈 속의 꿈

그는 알아차리지 못해

둥둥 떠다니는 오렌지들 위로

겹쳐진 얼굴들

그가 아는 건

이 꿈이 어떻게 흘러갈 것인가 정도지

 

꿈 속의 꿈에 갇힌

사내 안의 사내

생각 속의 생각 속에 갇힌

그는

잠든 채 깊은 심연 속으로 침잠해

 

바람이 낮게 휘파람을 불자

유리창이 휘어지고

건너편 빌딩 어디선가

울리는 전화벨 소리가 들려

 

호감이 가는 목소리야

명확히 구분이 가지 않는 공기를 품고

벽을 타고 울리는 그 소리의

출처는 명확하지가 않아

 

그는 계절이 달라지는 걸 느껴
그 꿈 속의 꿈에서

그가 나중에야 자각하게 될

지금은 알아차리지 못하는

어떤 아름다운 선율

도저히 기억해낼 수 없지만

결코 떨쳐버릴 수도 없을

생각 속의 생각 속에 갇힌

그는

잠든 채 깊은 심연 속으로 침잠해

That he couldn't quite get

He'll never forget
