똑똑해보이려고 인디펜던스지도 한 부 샀어

머릿속으로 설정도 다 짜놨거든

누가 물어보면

난 지금 세미나에 가고있는 거야

 

난 천재야

괴짜야

수학과 과학 분야의 괴물이야

곧 상도 하나 받을 예정일 걸

 

언젠가 성장해야만한다면

내 손으로 만드는 게 맞아

그냥 흐름에 몸을 맡긴 채

정체되어 있는 건 내게 맞지 않아

 

성경이 나의 길잡이야

거기에 학교 같은 건 안 써있다고

밤이 되면 나는 라디오를 켜고

엄마 아빠가 죽일 듯 서로를 향해 지르는 고함을

헤드폰으로 덮어버려

 

나는 듣는 게 아니야

나는 그들의 광신도가 됐어

하지만 그들은 여기에 없는 걸

야생에서 자신의 삶을 살고 있는 걸

만일 알고 싶다면, 알아내야지

직접 눈을 마주하고 들여다보는 수밖에 없어

라디오 속 목소리 뒤에 숨겨진 얼굴들을 찾아
