악마가 내게 건넨 타코는
정말이지 끔찍한 맛이었어
닭고기는 거의 날 것이나 다름없었고
기름으로 코팅해 놓은 것 같았지
쌀에선 지독한 냄새가 났고
콩은 돌처럼 딱딱했어
그 돼지 비계같은 걸 다 삼켰더니
현기증이 날 지경이었어
하지만 그 밑엔 진디물이 덕지덕지 묻은 양상추가 기다리고 있었고
그것까지도 난 다 삼켜버렸지
그렇게 간신히 다 먹고나니까
살사 소스에 혓바닥이 녹아내렸고
또띠야는 목구멍에 걸려 넘어가질 않는데다가
코트에 묻은 얼룩은 타들어가 내 옷 전부를 망가뜨려 버렸어
그 뿐만이 아냐, 갑자기 위경련이 일더니
온몸에 두드러기가 나기 시작했어
갈증으로 죽을 것 같았지만
수중에 동전 한 푼 없어서
나는 걸치고 있던 옷가지를 찢어발기면서
호스를 찾아 물을 틀었지
하지만 물은 코로 들어갔고
괴로워하는 날 보고 한 늙은 여자는
변태라고 생각했는지 핸드백을 휘둘러댔어
변명조차 할 새가 없었지
그렇게 내가 흘린 피바다 속에서 벌거벗은 채
의식을 잃고 정신이 반 쯤 나가서 누워있자니
경찰들이 몰려와 날 경찰차에 태우더라
내가 눈을 떴을 땐
두 손이 천장에 매달려 묶여 있었지
결국 난 법정에 끌려갔어
판사의 두 눈은 붉게 타올랐고
법정엔 온통 마녀와 좀비들만이 가득 차 있었지
보안관은 날카로운 송곳니와 턱을 가진 지옥의 개였고
죄수들은 모두 쇠사슬에 묶여 벽에 매달려있었지
담배 연기가 점점 짙어져 숨조차 쉴 수 없을 때 쯤
판사는 판결문을 외쳤어 '저 놈의 목을 베라!'
그들은 나를 제단 위로 끌고가
도끼를 들어올렸지
그런데 머리가 터지기 직전에
나는 문득 마샬 스택을 보았어
스모크 머신과 카메라와 조명들
마이크를 하고 있는 사람과
타이즈를 입고 춤추는 사람들
그리고 관객들..
무대 아래서 연주하고 있는 밴드까지 보았을 때
난 내가 롹 비디오 속에 들어와 있음을 알았어
결국 난 그 밴드와 함께 투어를 시작했지
헤로인을 피우고 쓰레기 더미 속에서 기절하고
그루피들과 섹스를 하고 (오, 예)
백스테이지에서 화끈한 시간을 보내고 (오, 예, 다 죽었어)
돈 방석에 앉았지만 (오, 예, 다 내 능력이지)
어느새 다 날려버리고 (아이고, 내 돈)
밴드는 다 살해당하고 (개같은 루저들)
난 솔로 커리어를 쌓아갔지 (오, 예)
난 시상식을 싹쓸이했고 (다 덤벼)
맥주를 퍼마시다가 (부어라, 마셔라)
타코 노점상을 하나 차려서 (오, 호)
냄새를 피우며
악마와 동업하게 됐지
지옥의 맛을 보고 싶거든 한 번 들러! (엄청 바쁘다고)

Satan gave me a taco
and it made me really sick
the chicken was all raw
and the grease was mighty thick
the rice was all rancid
and the beans were so hard
I was getting kinda dizzy
eatin' all the lard
there was aphids on the lettuce
and I ate every one
and after I was done
the salsa melted off my tongue
pieces of tortilla
got stuck in my throat
and the stains on my clothes
burned a hole through my coat
my stomach was a'tremblin'
and I broke out in a rash
I was so dry and thirsty
and I didn't have no cash
so I went and found a hose
tore off all my clothes
turned on the water
and it shot right up my nose
some old lady came along
and she thought I was a freak
so she beat me with her handbag
'til I could hardly speak
I was lying there naked
my body badly bruised
in a pool of my own blood
unconscious and confused
well the cops came and got me
and threw me in their van
and I woke up on the ceiling
and I couldn't find my hand
they took me to the judge
his eyes a'glowin' red
the courtroom was filled
with witches and the dead
well the sheriff was a hell-hound
with fangs and claws
the prisoners were tied up
and chained to the walls
the air was getting thick
the smoke was getting thicker
the judge read the verdict
said "Cut off his head!"
well they placed me on the altar
and they raised up the axe
my head was about to explode
when I noticed the Marshall stacks
I noticed all the smoke machines
cameras and the lights
some guy with a microphone
runnin' around dancin' in tights
and I noticed the crew
and the band playin' down below
and I realized I was in a rock video
So I went and joined the band
and I went out on tour
and I smoked a lot of heroin
and I passed out in manure
I made out with the groupies (aw yeah)
started fires backstage (aw yeah, start 'em up)
made a lot of money (aw yeah, I'm makin it)
and I gave it all away (give it all to me)
well the band got killed (aw, bunch of losers)
so I started a solo career (aw haw, yeah
and I won all the awards (get 'em all now)
and I drank all the beer (drink it all up; get funky)
and I opened up the taco stand (aw haw, etc.)
just to smell the smell
cookin' with the devil
fryin' down in hell
