뒤집어진 채 바퀴가 돌아가는 자동차 옆,
찢어진 잡지와 총알들이 흩어져 있던 풀숲에서
동전 하나를 쥔 소년이 발견되었지
신께서 이 땅을 저 혼자 돌아가게 두고 떠나시던 날

눈 밭에서 작은 새와 함께 발견된 소녀는
입고 있던 가운을 벗어 하늘 위로 날렸네
소녀는 알아버렸네
인간을 울면서 태어나도록 만든 신이라면
이 땅을 버리는 것도 어렵지 않았겠지


소년은 청바지 주머니에 주먹을 쑤셔 넣어
동전을 꺼내 소원을 빌고 바다 위로 던졌네
그렇게 소년은 도시를 향해 걸어갔지
신은 떠나고
인류는 고통받는
도시를 향해
